Select "Export - save PrestaShop products to comma-separated values file format (.csv)"

Select file

Store Manager can export products from PrestaShop to the local file or Google spreadsheets (this option is available starting from the Store Manager version 2.55.0.2199).

In order to export to the local file, you should enter the file name or select one to be replaced.

If you want to select file, that is situated on FTP server, you should have correct FTP connection.

If you want to export data to the Google spreadsheet, select the relevant checkbox and the Cloud storage account. You can also add, change or delete the account using the corresponding buttons on the right side of the account selector.

Next, find the Cloud file with the help of the browse [...] button or type the file name manually. This will open Drive Explorer where you should find the necessary file:

If you can not find the file in the list, please type the full name to find it. It may happen with the shared files

Choose the option that suits you best from the following:

  • "Replace sheet values" - Replaces data of the active sheet with exported data.

  • "Append to sheet" - Adds exported data to the end of the active sheet.

  • "Insert new sheet" - Creates a new sheet with exported data.

Enter the name of the sheet in the "Sheet title" field, or select the name with the browse [...] button. This button allows to create a name with the macros [Date] for Automated Export.

Select products to export

On the next page, you can see some general PrestaShop export options.

Select "All products" if you want to export all products at the current store. If you wish to export PrestaShop products only from the specific category(ies), select "Selected Categories" option.

In the list of available categories below check those ones, which products have to be exported.

"Use Product Filter"

You can choose products to export using the filter function - i.e. check the "Use product filter" position. In case there are any pre-saved filter parameters, select the necessary one from the drop-down list:

Take a note, such parameter will be visible in the particular list in case it is added to the main filter list on the Products page of Store Manager:

To add the own parameter of the data filtering press 'Search' action in the program's top toolbar:

Specify the product name (1) you want to use in the form, which appears, press the button to start searching (2). Once the results are shown in the table below, click on the [Filter] (3):

You will get the new filter position, which is available during the exporting as well, on the "Export Options" step:

In other cases, create the filter to be able to use it during the current operation.

  • press the "Create Filter" button:

  • indicate the parameter which the data will be filtered for:

  • add filter to the filter list:

You will see the products which match the specified parameter listed below:

The lower area of the current step are the "Advanced Export Options" fields:

If you need to get the full path of categories to the products in the export file, you should select the relevant column below.

In the file with exported data you can see the full categories and their sub-categories names separated by delimiters:

If the items, which are exporting, have parent details (some relations in rows of combinations or price values), mark the corresponding field to transfer this data in the export file as well.

Select the "Export Parent Details" check-box and get the result file with all product's data along with combinations inscribed in columns.

If you leave this field unchecked, you will get the file with empty columns in it. The only filled columns will be clumns with the main product's data.

Take a note of the "Product accessories identification method" at the bottom. There are two identifiers you can select:

  • Reference.

  • EAN13.

Select one(s) you need for identification product accessories during exporting and press the button to move to the next step of the export process.

Select fields delimiters and quote character

"Fields Delimiter and Quote Character" page has some important settings. Check them to ensure proper configuration.

The first option is delimiter character. Most popular delimiters are the comma (,), semicolon (;) and tab character ( ) however other symbols can be used as well.

The PrestaShop Export file is usually generated for further import. If the incorrect delimiter is specified during import, the file will not be parsed properly and PrestaShop products will not be imported. Second option. 'Quote string values' is used to separate strings in CSV file.

The third setting is category delimiter. This is not native .csv setting, it is used only in Store Manager. As you know categories are organized in a form of a tree, where one category can contain one or more subcategories and subcategory can contain one or more other categories. Category delimiter character is used to separate category names and specify full category tree path for given PrestaShop product. Category path is very similar to directory path, used to specify the full file name in Windows, where every directory separated by the backslash (\) character like this one C:\\Program Files\eMagicOne\Store Manager for PrestaShop\.

As for example, category path for "Women" (see image below) will be Root|Home|Women. The pipe (|) character was used as a separator.

If you select a field below - "Use ID as category path" - Store Manager identifies items location on Categories IDs only.

There are three tabs on the lower area on the current step.

- "Images". The tab allows to specify conditions for product illustrations during exporting.

"Export image filename with full HTTP URL path". Select this field to add to the image local name the store URL path and generate the direct link to the products in the browser.

Such external path should be acceptable and openable after exporting - just specify image URL in the browser to see the appropriate illustration.

Indicate the directory to which the images will be forwarded after export. "Default images path" is the exact place to store image files.

Top separate multiple illustrations between each other select the correct delimiter in the box below.

- "Downloadable Files". Current tab serves for configuring export conditions of downloadable items and contains the similar to the previous tab fields.

Check the field below to generate the full external path to the downloadable items via browser:

Specify the path to the directory to which exported downloadable products will be placed after export.

The default path is the location to store downloadable files.

- "Attachments". If you have any attachments and need to transfer them to the file when exporting, open the third tab and check the field for attachments.

Specify the directory, where your attachments will be added (saved) in the field below,

Click on the [Next] button to move to the following step of export.

Select fields to be exported

All available fields that can be exported are listed in the left pane. Select fields you want to be exported and click [>] button to move them to the right pane. If you'd like to export all fields simply press [>>].

The order in which columns will be saved in the .csv file can be changed. To do this you can move exported columns up and down using corresponding buttons.

To group or summation, ascending or descending values of corresponding fields you can use the Expression option. By clicking [Add Expression Field] button in the top menu of the current window you open the "Expression Editor" form:

Type required expression in it and check the correctness of its formula by clicking [Execute Expression] button.

After that, this formula should appear on the right - in the list of fields that should be exported.

To simplify the process of selecting fields to export, you can use the grouped data, which are in the top menu of the window. Press [Add Group of Fields] and choose from the drop-down list the most appropriate datasets. Among the new features of Store Manager for Prestashop - export such groups of fields as customized fields, combination fields and specific prices (as in the illustration below).

The filter, available on this step, allows you to filter out the required fields and facilitates search process during selection:

Note!

The "Warehouse Location" field from now can be exported among the other data related to the Warehouse information.

Please note, that the stock management system was rebuilt at PrestaShop 1.7, so for the newer version this option is not available in Store Manager as well.

Preview export data

Attention! When you press [Export] button, export process will start!
